Primary 6 cognitive examination held
On 23 May 2026, the primary 5 pupils of St. Charles Nursery and Primary School joined their counterparts across the state in sitting for the Primary 6 Cognitive Examination conducted by the State Ministry of Education.
The examination comprised four papers, namely Mathematics, English Studies, Christian Religious Studies (C.R.S.), and General Paper. The exercise commenced as early as 9:00 a.m. and saw the pupils fully engaged, with heads bent over their question papers and pencils busily shading their answer scripts.
The orderly conduct of the examination reflected the pupils' preparedness and determination to perform excellently. Teachers and supervisors were also on hand to ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise throughout the examination period.
School proceeds on a week long midterm break
In line with the academic calendar for the term, the school commenced a one-week mid-term break on 1 June 2026. The break runs from 1 June to 5 June 2026, providing pupils and staff with a period of rest before the continuation of academic activities.
The school is expected to resume normal academic activities on 8 June 2026.
JS3 BECE examination held
The Junior Secondary School 3 students during the midterm break 1st to 5th sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination.
The examination which started on Monday with mathematics and English studies as second paper for the day was expected to be rounded up with French Studies, Nigerian History and local language as third paper for the day on the 5th June.
WASSCE 2026 on going
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for the 2026 Senior Secondary School 3 (SSS 3) students commenced in April 2026. The students of the school sat for their first examination paper on 20 May 2026 and are expected to conclude the examination on 17 June 2026.
Since the commencement of the examination, the candidates have remained focused and committed to their studies, demonstrating readiness and determination to excel. The school continues to provide the necessary support and conducive environment to ensure the students successfully complete this important external examination.
