Orchard established for the school
On 18th June 2026, the Agbor Desk Officer of the LIFE-ND Programme, Mr. Benson Omosigho, and his team led members of the school's Young Farmers/Good Nutrition Promoters Club in the planting of coconut, soursop, and avocado pear trees.
The tree-planting exercise was both educational and exciting, providing the students with practical knowledge of proper tree planting techniques, including correct spacing and planting depth. It also highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, sustainable agriculture, and good nutrition.
The club members actively participated throughout the exercise and expressed enthusiasm as they gained valuable hands-on experience that will contribute to their agricultural knowledge and appreciation for tree cultivation.
On Saturday, 4th July 2026, the National Officers of the Young Farmers/Good Nutrition Promotion Club visited the school to assess the progress and achievements recorded by the club members.
During a brief interactive session with the students, the National Coordinator, Mrs. Chioma, who came from Port Harcourt, expressed her delight at the members' confidence, enthusiasm, and impressive level of participation. She commended the students for their sound knowledge and the intelligent responses they gave to the questions asked during the interaction.
In recognition of their outstanding performance, Mrs. Chioma presented gifts to some of the club members who answered the questions correctly. The visit was both inspiring and motivating, encouraging the students to remain committed to the objectives of the Young Farmers/Good Nutrition Promotion Club.

Delta state government places restriction on graduation party.
The Delta State Government has recently released a guideline outlining the conditions under which schools may be permitted to conduct graduation ceremonies. This follows concerns and appeals from schools and parents after the earlier directive prohibiting graduation parties in schools.
The guideline, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Akambe O. H., on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner for Secondary Education, clearly states the requirements that schools must meet before organizing graduation ceremonies.
Schools, parents, and other stakeholders are advised to study the attached document carefully and ensure full compliance with the stated conditions before making any arrangements for graduation activities.
Details are contained in the attached document.
